Eco Waste SA's Anaerobic Thermal Desorption Unit is designed to utilize heat and negative pressure to physically separate organic contaminants from the incoming waste stream.
Drilling Waste Treatment
The ATDU enables oil contained in the waste to be recovered and recycled. The treated solid material is devoid of oil. In EWS’s system the process temperatures are adjusted to achieve less than 1% of oil in the treated solid matrix.
Oil Spill Response
Eco Waste SA has acquired oil spill response equipment which is currently located at the Takoradi Harbour. The equipment comprises of booms, skimmers, pumps and other accessories for oil spill control.
HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INCINERATION
Eco Waste SA’s waste transfer facility houses a high capacity High Temperature Incineration system with the capability of burning both solid and liquid wastes that are produced from Mining activities, Oilfield operations, Maritime commerce, lastly Industrial activities.
Our incineration system utilizes primary and secondary chambers using natural gas as a fuel to burn hazardous materials at temperatures of between 1600 to 2200°F. This ensures the complete thermal breakdown of all hazmats fed into the system. Off gasses that are produced in the process are burnt off in the secondary chamber to ensure no harmful gases are released into the surrounding environs. We also ensure operational efficiency of our units by constantly monitoring gasses coming out of our stack to ensure conformity to standards used in the USA and local EPA.

Nature has some of the most complex yet cleanest industrial systems if we analyze it as such. There is a byproduct to everything that we do as humans, from the air we breath to the food we take in which are converted into products for the body to use and then by products of this process are discarded in 3 states, Gas, Liquid and Solid. These byproducts without any human intervention are still used by nature either as manure for plants or food for some animals, insects and fishes. Air, in the form of Carbon dioxide gas produced as a result of respiration, is used by plants to regenerate oxygen. It is also used to balance some chemical processes in nature.
